The BONATRANS GROUP a.s. product range , i.e. a wide range of products with high accuracy requirements, requires state-of-the-art precision machine tools and, of course, experienced and qualified personnel.

Wheel and axle machining lines meet both requirements. All machine tools are modern numeric controlled units. Network connection to the central database of programs for machining of all wheel and axle types manufactured allows quick setting of any machine. The high machining precision of all units guarantees achievement of the required dimensions of even the most demanding products.

The BONATRANS GROUP a.s. machine shop is equipped with a number of machining centers for wheels and axles, which allows concurrent production of many various products.

During the whole machining process, the products are identified with barcodes thet serve for recording all operations performed, including all complementary information, in the computer information system.

The wheels are balanced on the balancing machines after machining.

After all operations have been finished, the wheels and axles are subjected to nondestructive tests, the objective of which is to validate that products manufactured do not include any surface or internal defects.

In case axles and wheels are designed for assembly into the wheelset, they continue to the assembly line. If they are to be delivered as loose components, surface finishing is performed in compliance with conditions agreed with the customer. Surface coating is carried out on the wheel and axle coating line.
